Queen Anne's Gate.
The property at Queen Anne’s Gate is approx 350 years old and the years plus the poor standard of renovation work carried out over a couple of centuries eventually took its toll and we were called in to restore the lime plaster to the masonry walls and the lath and plaster ceilings. The lath and plaster ceilings had faired very badly and the plaster was removed from most of the ceilings saving as much of the original lath as possible. Hand riven chestnut lath was used to match the existing and the non hydraulic lime, sand and hair mix used was also a close match, to enable us to get this close match several samples were tested by Sandberg Laboratories.
